Family members accompanying Canada-Based Staff (CBS) can easily apply for their security clearance to work at mission.
Who can apply?
Spouses, common-law partners, and dependents (18 or older) are all welcome to apply.
Canadian citizens can aim for Secret-level clearance, while permanent residents may obtain Reliability Status with Site Access clearance.
When should I apply?
The ideal time to apply is as soon as you receive your Posting Confirmation Form (PCF), prior to departure. If you’re already at mission, no worries; just connect with the Management Consular Officer (MCO) for assistance.
How to apply – It’s easy!
- Grab the Security Screening Application Consent Form (TBS330-61) and fill it out.
- Attach a copy of your Posting Confirmation Form.
- Send both documents
