The Canadian Diplomatic Family Network connects family members of Government of Canada representatives at diplomatic missions, and advocates for them to have the best possible experience while preparing for a posting, at post, and when returning to Canada.

Absolutely! Spouses of Canadian government employees posted abroad are key members of our community.
Can I join if I’m not related to a government of Canada employee?
No. Membership is limited to families of Canadian government employees posted to a diplomatic mission.
My spouse is a rotational foreign services employee but we are in Ottawa, can I join?
Yes, being in Ottawa is often seen as a “posting” by the families of our community.
What if my GoC family member is returning to Canada soon?
You’re welcome to join. We offer information and resources during transitions, too.
I’m a Canadian citizen living abroad, but not with a GoC employee. Can I join?
Membership is focused on families of GoC employees.
